Soft & Broken Ground Orientation Method
The Ezy-Mark™ system can now be used to orientate very soft and broken ground conditions when used in conjunction with a triple tube core barrel system, something no other orientation system avaialble on the market today can do.
No Ezy-Mark™ inner, outer tube or split extensions are to be used. Core runs must be drilled 30cm or 12 inches shorter in this ground type to allow for the length of the Ezy-Mark™ tool within the inner tube assembly.
By using the new Patent Pending and Copyrighted procedure the Ezy-Mark™ will allow the recovery, in many situations, of orientations that previously would have been impossible to recover with the Ezy-Mark™ or any other orientation system. Accuracy and regularity of readings of course will be compromised slightly and depend greatly on the actual ground conditions being drilled but in most instances a reliable indication of gravitational bottom side of the core sample should be obtained for the competent sections of each core run or at least be able to be deduced with a degree of confidence.
